Kicking off: Quarterback Charlie Raffa's 60-yard run to the Holy Cross 5-yard line set up the go-ahead touchdown with 14 seconds left in the first half and keyed St. Anthony's 28-14 football victory last night.

Halfback Mike Schillizzi scored from the 1 three players later, and Jim Doktor's extra-point kick made the score 14-7.

The Friars are second and Holy Cross 10th in the New York State Sportswriters Association Class AA rankings.

After Holy Cross punted to open the third quarter, Raffa scored on a 15-yard run to cap a four-play, 41-yard drive for St. Anthony's, which rolled up 293 rushing yards.

First down: Jason Williams rushed for a trio of touchdowns and Rochester East registered two safeties as the Orientals beat McQuaid 32-18 to establish themselves as Section 5 Class AA contenders.
