NYSSWA All-State plaques

Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007: State association moves girls soccer games out of Cortland
   Breaking news: The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has been forced to make changes to its girls soccer tournament venues for Nov 16-17.

   The changes are the result of a scheduling conflict wuth SUNY Cortland, which was scheduled to host all 15 girls soccer games over two days. However, the college's athletic department announced Monday that it has accepted an ECAC Division III Northeast football bowl game berth and will host Union on Saturday at noon.

   Because of that development, the NYSPHSAA has moved the majority of its games to Homer High School and Tompkins-Cortland Community College. Below is the revised schedule for the tournament provided by the NYSPHSAA this morning:

Friday, Nov. 16

Class AA
   9:30 a.m. at Cortland #1 - Horace Greeley (Sec. 1) vs. Greece Arcadia (5)
   9:30 a.m. at Cortland #2 - Sachem East (11) vs. Cicero-North Syracuse (3)

Class A
   10 a.m. at Homer H.S. - Pittsford Mendon (5) vs. Maine-Endwell (4)
   10 a.m. at Tompkins-Cortland CC - South Side (8) vs. Burnt Hills (2)

Class B
   12:15 p.m. at Cortland #1 - Bayport-Blue Point (11) vs. Marcellus (3)
   12:15 p.m. at Cortland #2 - Livonia (5) vs. Briarcliff (1)
